Read PockethandsA heartwarming monthly comic following Sketchy The Alien and his robot companion as they share laughs, adventures, and friendship. Your new Sunday morning favorite!
Read Sketchy The AlienCreating stories through comics is one of my biggest passions. I enjoy bringing characters to life on the page and watching their stories unfold panel by panel. Each comic starts as a simple idea that grows into a complete world with its own rules, characters, and visual style.
My webcomics show different types of storytelling. Pockethands explores a world where rules constantly change, following a thief who must adapt to survive. The complex world would reflect my love of creating rich environments where characters and readers must question what they know.
Sketchy The Alien is simpler and more heartfelt. These monthly strips focus on friendship and finding wonder in everyday life. Creating these light stories lets me celebrate small moments of connection that make life meaningful.

Creating comics involves a unique blend of storytelling and visual art. My process begins with character development and world-building, followed by scripting, thumbnailing, pencilling, inking, and finally adding colour and lettering. Each step requires careful consideration of pacing, visual flow, and emotional impact.
For "Pockethands," I dedicate significant time to developing the constantly shifting rules of Sandbox City, ensuring they create interesting challenges while maintaining internal logic. For "Sketchy The Alien," I focus on crafting short, heartwarming interactions that can stand alone while building a larger narrative about friendship and discovery.
My comic work draws inspiration from diverse sources: the world-building of Moebius and Miyazaki, the character-driven narratives of Jeff Smith's "Bone," and the experimental storytelling techniques of Chris Ware. I'm also influenced by animation, film, and literature that explore themes of connection, belonging, and the unexpected.
"Pockethands" emerged from my fascination with how people adapt to changing circumstances, while "Sketchy The Alien" was born from a desire to create moments of simple joy amid life's complexities. Both reflect different aspects of my artistic voice while exploring distinct storytelling approaches.
I value the community that has formed around my comics. Readers can engage through:
Q: Do I need to start from the beginning?
A: While both comics have ongoing narratives, individual episodes of "Sketchy The Alien" can be enjoyed independently. For "Pockethands," I recommend starting from the beginning to fully appreciate the evolving story.
Q: Will there be print collections?
A: I'm currently working on compiling the first volume of "Pockethands" for print publication. Sign up for my newsletter to be notified when pre-orders become available.
Q: Do you accept story suggestions?
A: While I have the main story arcs planned, I love hearing readers' ideas and occasionally incorporate elements inspired by community feedback.
Beyond these ongoing series, I occasionally create standalone comic stories and collaborations with other creators. These special projects allow me to experiment with different styles and narrative approaches while exploring themes outside my main series.
